DAY 01:
Arrive DELHI
International Flight

Welcome to India !!!!
Arrive Delhi - the capital of modern India and one of the ancient cities of the world, identified with Indraprastha, the city founded by the Pandavas (heroes of the epic Mahabharata). Meeting with our representative and assistance at the airport later transfer to Hotel. Check-in and overnight.

DAY 02:

After Breakfast Visit Old and New parts of Delhi - each with its specific charm and glory - makes a very interesting city for its sustenance to medieval and modern cultures at the same time and space. In the first half you will visit Old Delhi - including Jama Masjid (Mosque), Gandhi’s Cremation Site and a Rikshaw ride to Red Fort followed by the visit of Humanyun’s Tomb, Qutab Minar and a drive past the government buildings in Delhi. Return to hotel. Overnight.

DAY 03:
AM Hrs Flight

Morning transfer to airport to board your flight to Varanasi. Upon arrival check-in at the hotel. Enroute Visit Sarnath – the place where Buddha gave his first Sermon after attaining Enlightment at Bodhgaya. Evening witness the "Aarti" ceremony on the Ghats of river Ganges . Return back to Hotel & Overnight.

DAY 04:

Wake up early morning before Sun-Rise, tea/coffee would be serves at hotel lobby lounge. Proceed to the "Ghats" on river Ganges for an early morning exclusive boat ride ……witness the unfolding of life at the holiest of holy city – Benares… after abt 1h30 minutes on boat, disembark and proceed back to you Htl through the narrow but happening lanes of this city…. B/Fast at the Htl…. start the City visit of the famous & ancient Temples of Varanasi visiting the Vishwanath temple, Gyan Kup (Well of Knowledge), Gyanvapi Mosque (Great Mosque of Aurangzeb), Durga Temple & Benares Hindu University. Return back & Overnight.

DAY 05:
250 kms / 06 Hrs

After breakfast at the hotel, check out & drive to Bodhgaya – the most sacred place for Buddhists as it has a Peepul tree under which Gautama the Buddha attained enlightenment some 2500 years back. Upon arrival, installation at the hotel & relax for some time & visit the Bodhgaya Archaeological Museum - houses a small collection of Buddhist sculpture from the 1st century B.C, to the 11th century A.D. Evening hrs, return back to the hotel & overnight.

DAY 06:

After breakfast at the hotel, visit to Mahabodhi temple - depicting the various phases of Buddha's journey towards enlightenment. It is substantially the original temple that was built on site. Inside a colossal gilded image of Lord Buddha radiates peace, his finger touching the earth in the symbolic gesture of Enlightenment., showing different aspects of his life- Along the northern side of the lies the Jewel Shrine of the walk’ - the stone platform with sculptured ornaments which mark the footprints of the Buddha to the west stands the sacred Bodhi tree. Later visit the Jagannath Temple close by has a four armed statue of Shiva in black stone. Return back to the hotel & overnight.

DAY 07:

After Breakfast Leave by surface for Rajgir - ancient Rajagriha (literally, the abode of kings). During the lifetime of the Buddha this was the capital of the powerful Magadhan kingdom, ruled by the virtuous King Bimbisara. Like many others in search of Truth, Prince Siddhartha, after he renounced his royal heritage came to this city to seek the path of salvation. Upon arrival, installation at hotel Rest of the morning, visit the Griddhakuta Hill, or Vulture Peak. Post Lunch Visit Ratnagiri, Venuvana Vihara and Satadhara (the seven hot sulphur springs). Overnight in hotel.

DAY 08:
100 Kms / 03 Hrs

After breakfast Check out & drive to Patna. Enroute Visit Nalanda Mahavihara (11 kms). - one of the greatest monastic universities of the ancient world. Established in the 5th century B.C. it remained a live center of learning till the 12th century A.D. Lord Mahavira and the Buddha both taught here for years.

Post visit Continue for Patna. Upon arrival Check in at Hotel & Later Visit Buddha Smriti Park, Golghar - is a large dome-like structure from where one can have a fine view of the Ganga and the surroundings of the city; Patna Museum - has a rich collection of Mauryan and Buddhist sculptures, terracotta and other interesting items of the items. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 09:
230 Kms / 06 Hrs

Morning after B/fast drive to Kushinagar. Upon arrival and check - in at the hotel. Later visit the Rambhar Stupa, which marks Buddha's cremation ground. Also visit the Mahaparinirvana temple, which houses the recumbent figure of Lord Buddha. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 10:
220 Kms / 04 Hrs

Morning drive to Balrampur. Upon arrival and check - in at hotel. Rest of the day Explore the religious sites in and around the city. Like Sahet, a nearby place on Sravasti road, spread over an area of 400 acres is famous for its collection of ancient ruins. Jeetavana monastery, one of the oldest monasteries in the country is said to be one of the favorites sites of Gautam Buddha. It contains the 12th century inscriptions. Nearby there is also a sacred tree of Peepal. It is said that the tree is a sapling from the original Bodhi Tree at Bodh Gaya. Gautam Buddha spend 21 rainy season under the sacred Peepal tree.

DAY 11:
125 Kms / 03 Hrs

After breakfast at hotel, check out & drive to Shivpatinagar – a Border town before Entreing Nepal. Upon arrival at charming & colonial estate and check in at the hotel & visit Kapilvastu - the place where Buddha spent his childhood and youth. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 12:
135 Kms / 03 Hrs

After breakfast at the hotel, assistance at the time of check out & leave by surface to Lumbini - the place where Buddha was born 2500 years ago. There will be some formalities to be completed at the Nepal border for Visas etc. Upon arrival, Check in at Hotel. Later Visit the Mayadevi Temple, Pushkarini Pond. Overnight.

Note: - Your Indian Vehicle will Drop you to Indian Side of the Border & your Nepal Driver will pick you Up from the Nepal Visa & Immigration Office on the Other Side.

DAY 13:
225 Kms / 06 Hrs

After breakfast at the hotel, Check out & Drive to Pokhara - Known for its natural beauty, Pokhara is a city located in central Nepal. Its also called the enchanting valley of Himalaya with action & adventure. Upon arrival, installation at the hotel & In the evening time, you may hire a boat and go for the boat ride on Lake Phewa. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 14:

Early in the morning, you would be taken to Sarangkot to witness the sunrise at Annapurna Himalayas. Back to hotel for breakfast, Now visits of Pokhara including Devi's fall, Gupteshwor Caves, International Mountain Museum and Tibetan Refugee Camp. Return back to the hotel & overnight.

DAY 15:
200 Kms / 05 Hrs

After breakfast at hotel, leave by surface to Kathmandu – the capital of Nepal. Upon arrival at Kathmandu, Check in at hotel. Late PM hours : Sightseeing tour of Kathmandu city, visiting Durbar (Palace) Square – which is the heart of the old city. With many interesting temples and historic buildings . The most prominent feature of the west bank is the hilltop ‘stupa’ of Swayambhunath, over 2,000 years old is the holiest place for Newari Buddhists and the focus of the Kathmandu Valley’s creation myth. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 16:

After breakfast, visit temple complex at Pashupatinath - the holiest Hindu site in Nepal, Boudhanath - Nepal's largest 'stupa' & one of the best places outside Tibet to get some exposure to Buddhist culture. Followed by an excursion to the Twin City of Patan. After visits return back to the hotel for overnight.

DAY 17:

After Breakfast, transfer to Airport to board the flight for New Delhi. Upon arrival at Delhi, remain at transit at the airport to connect flight for Onward Destination.

  • Visa for Nepal is Granted upon arrival at Nepal Border. Please Carry two copies of PP size photographs which is needed to fill up the Visa application form at the immigration upon arrival at the Sanauli border along with payment of US$ 25.00 per person in 'USD Cash'. {As on Mar’ 2013}
