Visits of Ta Dzong & Museum, walk down a hillside trail to visit Rinpung Dzong A walk through the bridge, over a stone inlaid path, offers a good view of the architectural wonder of the Dzong as well as life around it. It is also the venue of Paro Tshechu, held once a year in the spring. Overnight at the Hotel in Paro.

After breakfast, excursion to Taktshang Lakhang (5hrs hike total). On the way back to the Htl enroute visit the 7th century Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the 108 temples built in the Himalayas by Tibetan King, Songtsen Gampo. The building of this temple marks the introduction of Buddhism in Bhutan. Overnight at hotel in Paro.
After breakfast, check out & drive to Punakha across Dochula pass (3,080 mts). En-route take a short excursion to Chimi Lakhang - It is about 30 minute walk across field from the road to the temple. The trail leads across rice fields to the tiny settlement of Pana, meaning 'field'. It then follows a tiny stream downhill to Yoaka and across more fields before making a short climb to Chimi Lhakhang. Evening at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast drive to Bumthang via Trongsa , across Pele-la pass (3,300m/10,830 ft), the traditional boundary between east and west. Enroute Visit Chendbji Chorten & Trongsa Dzong After lunch Continue for Bumthang. Upon arrival in Bumthang. It is home to many of prominent Buddhist temples and monasteries, check in at your lodge. Evening at leisure. Overnight at the lodge in Bumthang.
After breakfast, visit to Kurje Lhakhang, where the saint Padmasambhava subdued a local demon and left his body imprint on a rock., the Jambey Lhakhang (7th century temple), Tamshing Lhakhang (housing some of the oldest wall paintings in Bhutan) and Jakar Dzong (administrative center of the region). Stroll in the village, visit the little handicrafts shop at the entrance to the town, and perhaps take refreshments at a local restaurant.
After breakfast drive to Punakha, enroute stop at Trongsa and visit the Ta Dzong - a cylindrical stone structure rising five storeys. Upon arrival at Punakha, Check in at hotel & overnight.

After breakfast visit Punakha Dzong followed by check out & drive on to Thimphu. Upon arrival check in at the Hotel. Relax for some time & PM hrs sightseeing of King's Memorial Chorten followed by visit of impressive Fortress / Monastry Trashichhodzong Also visit, the government-run Handicrafts Emporium and local crafts shops, to browse through example of Bhutan's fine traditional arts. Overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast, Start with a visit of National Library , which holds a vast collection of ancient Buddhist texts, as well as modern academic books mainly on Himalayan culture and religion. Visit nearby Institute for Zorig Chusum. Also visit the Textile and Folk Heritage Musuem - provides a fascinating insight into the Bhutanese way of life. PM Hrs short drive towards northern end of town to visit Changangkha Lhakhang. After spending some time at temple, continue on to visit the Takin Preserve. End the day with a visit to the Buddha point (Kuensel Phodrang). Overnight at the hotel.
